A Dinosaur Experience

Mason has always loved dinosaurs. For a while the only books he wanted to read were dinosaur books, so he is just full of dino facts. When Tim noticed tickets for sale for an arena dinosaur show in Salt Lake City, we knew it would be a perfect Christmas present.

They went to Walking With Dinosaurs in the middle of January and Mason loved it. Tim invited his friend Bennett and his son London to go along, so Mason made a new friend while he was at it.

The show had a simple story line and featured giant, life-size robotic dinosaurs. I wish I could have been there to see Mason's face, because Tim said he was just so excited and in awe. Maybe a little scared at first. It was a special time for Mason and Tim to spend together. Next time Mom gets to take him.

Brielle's 4th

My beautiful baby Bri just turned four years-old. That is so unfair. We just barely moved into this house when she was six months old and now she is FOUR!?

She is so great. There is not a sweeter, more thoughtful, sensitive, lovely little girl. She is a caretaker and a helper and lover all-around. Her parents get about a fourteen thousand kisses a day. She is very aware of how everyone around her is feeling. She works hard at the things that she does. She has made good friends in preschool and everyone that meets her just can't help but like her. Her smile and laugh will light up any room. She definitely knows how to turn on the waterworks when it suits her, but she's a good sport.

I love this little girl. I really do.

A blessing for a baby boy

Eric was given a blessing at our home, surrounded by the best of the best! His dad gave a really beautiful blessing. It seemed so perfect for the personality that I see starting to develop in my little Buster. It has been a huge blessing having him and he is loved by a lot of people.

Ava turns 2

Ava has been two for about six months now, maybe longer. Except now that she is actually two, I am realizing that she wasn't two all along, and if we thought she was a pistol before, we are really in for it.

This little girl cracks us up all day long. Ava added hilarious to the mix. She will make you laugh.

One of our favorite things is how she comforts you after she hurts you. She'll hit or kick or bite (all in good fun!) and when you give her a sad face she immediately gets this sweet little comforter face and past your cheeks to make it all better. It is so wonderful.

She is definitely an active child. Impossible to shop with. I never know where she is or what she is getting into. She is always running faster than her feet can carry her sliding down the hall on her belly after a good fall. She is up bright and early every morning - like before 6:30 am, every day.

She has been potty training herself all year, but she won't quite commit and just runs around half naked for a good portion of the day. She had almost given up her binky, but then Eric came along and now the location of her binky is her main concern in life.

She kept trying to convince me that it was actually my birthday, not hers, but I think she enjoyed the day either way. And she really loves the birthday song!

Ballet Review

Brielle started a new ballet class last week because her other class was too small. She is now with the girls 1-2 years older than her. One week after starting we got to go watch her class for their ballet review day. She was by far the tiniest little ballerina, but she really kept up! And man o' man, you have never seen anything so adorable. I thought her dad was going to cry.

After her class she got to choose where we went to dinner, and of course she chose Idle Isle. Mason didn't want to go, so I got a cute little date with my two girls.

Right now she is sitting on the couch playing Maze Runner on the tablet and singing to herself. A snippet of her song, sort-of sung to the tune of I am Like a Star Shining Brightly.

I want to be reverent all the time
I am a reverent girl
Reverent at home, at school.

I want to go to the temple
Someday I will go there
I will choose the right.

I know Jesus loves me
He loves me because he loves me
Sacred duty of God of Heavenly Father.

I love to see the temple
That is me
Heavenly Father and Jesus
I love.
