First day of school

Mason started 1st grade, Brielle is in Kindergarten, and Ava started Joy School. They all started at different times, so I had plenty of time to worry about each of them!

Since we aren't in the house yet I am driving Mason to the bus stop in our future neighborhood. It was kind of a pain getting them registered at the new school since we don't have a proof of address yet, but I got it worked out. Dropping him off the first day was so hard. He doesn't know anyone at the bus stop and he's at a new school with all new kids. I know how hard those kind of changes would be on me, so I have been so worried about him.  I definitely cried when I pulled away, after watching him stand alone on that corner. So far, he actually seems to be doing great! All my worrying was probably for nothing.

The first day I went to take Brielle to the bus stop, we missed the bus. The bus was supposed to come at 12:15 so we got there around 12:10, just to be safe. By 12:25 the bust still hadn't come and there were no other kids at the stop. So I called the school and they said to just wait, that the buses were running late. By 11:45 there was still no bus, and Brielle was starting to get pretty upset. She didn't want me to drive her to school, but she was late! I called the school again and they said, Oh, sorry, the bus was actually really early. It wasn't a great way to start the first day, but she made it!

Ava is in a little Joy School with some of the kids in the new neighborhood. I met someone at the park that told me about the ward Facebook page, and then I saw a post their about putting the classes together. Katee Payne that was in our old West Haven ward was organizing it, so I joined in. Ava is surprisingly shy about it, but I think she is going to love it.
