Nice Long Weekend

Tim and I have been married for 5 years. Our anniversary was on Thursday the 17th. We started our weekend early and celebrated by eating at The Roof in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Delish.

Early Friday morning we packed up and headed to the mountains for Mason's first camping trip. We orginally planned on Smith and Morehouse, but it was full. Instead we went near Mirror Lake, a few miles below the snow. It was beautiful and we all had a great time. The Provo Falls was going full force, the weather was perfect, and the food (my sister-in-law Karla cooked) was great!

A snuggle by the campfire.

My first fish. I even took the hook out.

My fourth fish.

Tim caught two.

Can't wait for more campfires, fishing, and fun this summer!

A different kind of baby

The baby graduated from high school this week. It's crazy that little Kelson is that old already. It always seems like none of my siblings should have aged since I got married (since I havent, of course) but they just keep growing up. I made his graduation announcements. Pretty cool, eh?

The graduation followed a nice long weekend of fishing, hikes, tennis, family BBQs and fun.

Gardens, Blogs, and Babies (of course!)

I planted a garden, and now I am a good Mormon, right? Right?! Hopefully it doesn't die before I get a few veggies out of it. In case you are thinking, "Crystal, I want to plant a garden just like yours!" here is what I planted: 1 Squash, 6 Onions, 4 peppers (I hate peppers, but I love salsa), 6 tomatoes, 4 strawberries, 1 zucchini, 1 broccoli, and 1 peach tree.

Changing lanes. Over the weekend I attended the Casual Blogger Conference. My cousin (well she married my cousin), Motherboard, of Mormon Mommy Blogs and Crazyland planned the amazing event and offered me some free tickets after I asked for them! It was very sweet of her and I had a ball.

Thursday was a GNO that Emily, Betsey, and I attended. We made flower pins (shown below), lip gloss (also sort of shown, I guess), and a scrapbook, AND got a couple of massages. The next day my mom came and we learned all about how to cash in on our blogs! Unfortunately, everyone who taught said you need a niche and I don't think random posts about my family's comings and goings counts.

And since no post is truly complete without a picture of adorable Mason, behold:
