Camping at Bear Lake

Tim's family decided to plan a camping trip to Bear Lake this summer, and it was so fun! We usually go with my family the week after school starts and the place is dead, so we were a little nervous to go right in the middle of summer, but it was perfect. The beaches weren't crowded and the weather was nice.

We rented a boat one day and did some tubing. The kids played all day on the beach. We were supposed to stay two nights, but one night in a tent was enough for me and Tim. So we went out to dinner with everyone and then instead of heading back to camp we went home.

Ava slept in the tent trailer with Grandma and Grandpa, Sue, Caelan, Kylie, and Keslie. And she managed to keep them all up by hopping from bed to bed and smothering them all in kisses. In true Ava fasion! That girl is a million miles and hour and so so funny. Brielle was of course a perfect angel, Mason got to stay up late with dad, and Bus slept in my bed, which meant I didn't.

Summer!

It is finally warming up around here and it is about time! I have been getting the kids out of the house every day to go on a little hike or nature walk or to the dinosaur park. I cannot be in that dark basement anymore. It is killing my soul. And man, these kids have needed to stretch their legs!

Mason and Brielle Graduate

Mason graduated from kindergarten and Brielle graduated from preschool while I was on my trip. So I missed them both. Which was a major bummer. I was so excited to see them. I snuck into Mason's school in the morning before I left to watch the rehearsal and get a couple of photos. I'm glad I did, because Tim said it was a crowded madhouse when he went, and they had to sit clear in the back. Unfortunately, I can't find the photos.

Tim got some great pictures of Brielle's graduation. She has loved school and her teachers and friends and she has not been excited for it to end.

Crystal goes to Cali

My friends and I took a trip to California at the end of our senior year. We rigged up a TV and a mattress in my parents' mini van and drove down to Las Vegas, where we stayed a night and picked up Kate, and then on to Huntington Beach, where all five girls crammed into one hotel room and spent our days hanging out at the beach.

This year, Erin's husband Jesse text me and said that he wanted to plan a trip for Erin because he had been doing a lot of fun things and she needed a break. He really meant he wanted to me to plan a trip for her, so I did! I got everyone to agree on a place and a date and we bought our plane tickets. It was a senior trip reunion trip. I am so glad that everyone could go. It was awesome just hanging out with my friends and seeing the ocean.
