Cowboy

On Saturday morning, Tim and I took Mason for a drive and we ended up at Tom and Monica's in Taylor. They have a little over an acre farm with horses, goats and dogs. I love it there. Mason got to meet some puppies up close that didn't run away like Casper when he grabbed hold of their fur. He loved their little licks.

I didn't wear very smart shoes.

The best part though - Thomas taught Tim how to rope a goat. They practiced on a dummy for a while, then let the goats loose. Tim roped one around the neck on his first try! It was hilarious.

Down the Hill

My mom turned 51 last week. We didn't celebrate close to enough for her 50th birthday so we will be making up for it for a while. This year we all got her a massage and then went to Soul and Bones for some really really good southern barbeque. She's the best mom anyone could ask for.

Tim's grandpa and dad also had a recent birthday. I'm so happy to be a part of his family. His grandpa turned 95!

Another One

We are just cranking out the projects over here. We get bored a little easy. It probably would have been easier to put a fireplace downstairs when we were finishing the basement, but what would be the fun of that? I wish I would've taken a couple pictures in between, but you get the idea.

Uno Dos Tres Cuatro Cinco Seis

The baby is growing up. I'm trying to keep him from rolling and crawling but he is determined and pretty soon he'll be telling me I should buy him a car.

Today he turns six months old. We are celebrating with long naps and lots of fluids because the kid is on his third cold since birth. Welcome to life Mason!

Happy New Year

Can't believe the year is 2010 and we are all still planted firmly here on our non-apocalyptic earth. 2009 was the best year we've had yet. This was the year we welcomed our perfect little Mason and we have sure enjoyed getting to know him. It's crazy to think how many more years of kid-rearing we have ahead of us!

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! Here's to many more to come.
